LCIF approved 14 emergency grants after nearly 400 tornadoes devastated parts of the Midwest and South (USA) over one week in 2003.
Thanks to the grants, Lions in Missouri, Kentucky, Kansas, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Illinois provided victims with vouchers for food, clothing and medicine. The grants, all but three for US$10,000, totaled US$125,000.
